The main thread of ‘Advocacy’ and ‘empowerment’ is inextricably linked to the whole ethos of Active 8 Success enabling our young adults to have a ‘voice’.

We encourage and support each individual to be actively involved in planning and design of their services.

Elected representation on Management Board

Peer group representation on the Management Board will be elected annually. This ensure democratic involvement in the decision-making process within Active 8 Success.

One of the aims of the programme is to focus on building the individual’s confidence and self-esteem to enable each person to advocate on their own behalf. However when extra support is needed to address welfare needs support will be provided by the Active 8 Success team.
